Puppies raised using advanced service dog curriculum

We prioritize the holistic development of our puppies. Our program goes beyond basic puppy raising, incorporating cutting-edge techniques such as Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Early Scent Introduction, and Sound Desensitization. We believe in empowering our puppies from the very start, introducing them to a variety of stimuli in a controlled environment.

Our approach extends to the whelping box, where we incorporate novelty items to stimulate exploration and play. The 10-step handling exercise is an integral part of our curriculum, ensuring that our puppies become not only highly skilled but also confident and comfortable with human interaction.

Every day, we introduce different stimuli, carefully selected to expose our puppies to diverse sensory experiences. This comprehensive approach aims to produce dogs that are empowered, adaptable, and self-assured.

What is Early Neurological Stimulation?

Early Neurological Stimulation involves a series of mild exercises and stimuli designed to expose puppies to a variety of sensory experiences during their early developmental stages. This is believed to have potential benefits in enhancing neurological development, stress tolerance, and overall adaptability.

What is Early Scent Introduction?

Early scent introduction involves exposing puppies to various scents at an early age. This can include introducing them to scents from different environments, objects, or even specific scents relevant to their future roles (for example, if they are being trained as service dogs or for search and rescue).

What is sound desensitization?

Sound desensitization is a process of gradually exposing puppies to various sounds in a controlled and positive manner. The goal is to reduce their sensitivity or fear of loud or unfamiliar noises, helping them become more well-adjusted and less anxious in different environments.

What are whelping box novelty items?

: Whelping box novelty items refer to introducing novel objects or stimuli into the whelping box environment where the mother and puppies are raised. This can include safe toys, different textures, or items that encourage exploration and play, promoting early cognitive and physical development.

What is a 10 step handling excercise?

The 10-step handling exercise is a structured process where puppies are gently and progressively handled by humans. This helps them become accustomed to being touched and manipulated, making them more comfortable with various handling procedures they may encounter in their lives, such as grooming or veterinary examinations.

Health Tested Adults

We utilize advanced health screening methods, including PennHIP, Embark, and OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) evaluations. PennHIP provides us with valuable insights into hip joint health, Embark offers a comprehensive genetic analysis, and OFA screenings assess various orthopedic and genetic factors. These combined efforts allow us to make informed breeding decisions, promoting the healthiest lineage possible.

Our dedication to health testing goes beyond mere compliance; it’s a pledge to the future well-being of our dogs and the satisfaction of those who welcome them into their homes.

Here is the training you get if you leave your puppy with us:

Level 1 Training: Basic Puppy Training: 8-12 Weeks

Introduce puppies to training standards and charges. Showing puppies who are this young what behaviors bring them better rewards/attention shapes a dog’s growing mind. He or she will always revert to what they learned at this stage in life. Training at this stage instigates a natural intelligence reliance over instinctual behaviors.

Puppies also go through their first of two fear stages during this age. Properly addressing this mental stage in a professional and controlled environment can almost guarantee a confident dog later in life. Some puppies who have their fear stage fully addressed in this time can even forego the second fear stage all together.
