Our Story

Welcome to the Koehn family’s love for dogs, a story that began on a grain and livestock farm in the vast plains of Texas. Surrounded by animals, dogs were always a cherished part of our lives. In 2009, we followed our hearts and relocated to Northeast Oklahoma, embracing a life dedicated to animal husbandry and a profound interest in animal genetics.

Our fascination with Golden Retrievers grew after spending time with my sister’s sweet companion, Mia. Witnessing her loving temperament and ideal family pet qualities, I delved into studying Golden Retrievers. Their versatility as service, therapy, and rescue dogs captivated me, and a chance encounter with a charming English Cream Golden Retriever puppy solidified my decision to focus on this remarkable breed.

Now, with my children older, my teenage daughter and I have eagerly embarked on the journey of raising Golden Retriever puppies. Thorough research led us to our commitment to responsible breeding, emphasizing comprehensive testing and exceptional care. Our goals are high, but we firmly believe that only the best will suffice for our beloved dogs and their future families.

We take immense joy in helping dog lovers, like you, find the perfect Golden Retriever puppy that complements their lifestyle. We’re excited to maintain a strong bond with you as we move forward together. Our dedication goes beyond the day you walk out the door with a Golden Retriever, as we delight in staying connected with the Golden Retriever puppies we place, constantly striving to improve our program and enhance the breed’s well-being.

In the Koehn family, love for our dogs is plain and simple. We cherish puppy breath and embrace the privilege of bringing joy and companionship into homes. Thank you for being a part of our journey and for sharing in our passion for these incredible English Cream Golden Retrievers. Together, let’s create lasting memories and meaningful connections that celebrate the boundless love our dogs bring to our lives.

Our Mission

Welcome to Rejoice Retrievers, where our mission is to enhance the breed and offer high-quality companion dogs to families filled with love and care. We are deeply committed to fostering strong connections between our puppies and their new families.

At Rejoice Retrievers, we prioritize laying a solid foundation for each puppy’s future. Techniques such as Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Early Scent Introduction (ESI), puppy culture, and the Empowered Breeder Advanced Curriculum are integral to this process. These methods ensure not only that our puppies are well-adjusted and confident but also capable of excelling in various roles, including service and therapy work if desired.

In our ongoing pursuit of excellence, we continuously refine our breeding practices. Responsible breeding remains our foremost priority, with comprehensive measures taken to address genetic concerns. To combat hip dysplasia, we implement rigorous testing and adhere to breeding protocols. Our focus extends to minimizing inbreeding while maintaining a diverse gene pool, resulting in healthier and genetically robust puppies.

In alignment with our commitment to responsible breeding, all our dogs undergo DNA testing to rule out hereditary diseases. Additionally, we conduct Penn Hip testing and OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) evaluations for eyes, heart, hips, and elbows. Rest assured, we prioritize the health and well-being of our dogs, ensuring they make suitable companions for your family.

Our ultimate goal is to provide you with a dog that embodies intelligence, kindness, and a willingness to be your steadfast companion.
